The Story of Museum Evolution

The story of MUEVO began when a small group of friends and colleagues sharing the same passion for the preservation of cultural heritage, decided to join forces for the establishment of a new enterprise specializing in the fabrication of next-generation museographic equipment and custom display case design. With the founding team’s extended experience in the implementation of international museum projects, emerged the idea for a novel company with a unique approach in the field of museum display case manufacturers. Hence emerged the growing circle of Museum Evolution, aiming to deliver bespoke solutions to the museum and wider cultural industries.

Having no standard display case system implies that we have to prototype every time. This poses an extra challenge in some cases, but going that extra mile rewards us with invaluable experience. The efforts of our R&D team, however, extend far beyond each individual project.

 

MUEVO’s R&D Department is devoted to providing sophisticated and user-friendly solutions to the most difficult technical challenges faced by museum professionals. To this end, our R&D team never ceases to experiment with the testing and certification of new materials, models, and mechanisms, in order to take our constructions a step further.

Installation

We proud to have our own in-house installation team, consisting of technical experts and craftsmen with profound knowledge and experience with exhibition systems. The assembly team consists of the same people who handle the production of our display cases, which renders multiple benefits during the installation process.

Quality Assurance

All the individual parts of our constructions, as well as of our finished end products, undergo thorough Quality Assurance tests in all different stages of the entire production process. Additionally, all the processes that take place within our premises, as well as those of our partners and suppliers are governed by ISO certifications as applicable.

After-Sales

While we make all necessary provisions to ensure that our constructions endure a prolonged lifespan from the early stages of engineering, we remain at our customers’ disposal to provide continuous support. We further offer tailored maintenance services so that the concept of aftersales becomes a never-ending process at MUEVO.

DISPLAY CASES

A display case is the host of a piece of history and thus strict requirements for conservation and security levels are to be followed. Our constructions mainly consist of glass, welded assemblies of intricate sheet metal work, concealed purpose-built mechanisms, claddings of various materials, etc. Apart from the above, our showcase design always aims for high levels of reliability and configurability, ergonomics and aesthetics. We implement the most advanced security systems and customized museum locks to all our display cases, all containing their own micro-environment with apropos lighting conditions, as well as ventilation and humidity control mechanisms. Our constructions can be further equipped with cutting-edge technology and multimedia add-ons for the presentation of audiovisual material and other applications.

Our fit-out solutions aim to enhance the visitor experience through the creation of immersive environments with increased story-telling abilities, embedded in every physical aspect of the exhibition space.
In addition to supplying the artworld with museum quality showcases, we further implement the full scope of gallery fit-outs, covering the full range from construction planning to interior furnishings and integrated graphics, collaborating with our esteemed partners when necessary.

Special Projects

Apart from our partner institutions in the museum and cultural heritage field, MUEVO also collaborates with private collectors and galleries both for permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. In this respect, we offer solutions that take into account special conditions, such as the need of traveling.
For this reason, we have developed an easily mountable and dismountable display case solution. We can deliver any type of display case according to your needs, and can further undertake projects with specific high standard requirements given our experience and expertise.

- PRODUCTION

A New Generation of Museum Display Case Manufacturers

We have established our own manufacturing facility in an industrial zone near Athens. Our production unit underwent a grand renovation project in 2023: more space was added to our facilities, and major upgrades were implemented to the entire building. Moreover, our equipment inventory also increased with the addition of new, cutting-edge machinery.

 

From the processing of heavily used primary supplies like glass, steel, aluminum and wood, to the painting, grinding and polishing of said materials, our premises contain all the necessary units required to sustain the entire production line of our display solutions in-house.

- LOCATIONS

Centrally placed to work globally

MUEVO’s central offices are located near the heart of Athens, while our production site is in an industrial site outside the city center. We are also in the process of launching a satellite office in the French capital.

We will be happy host an introductory meeting with you in the showroom of our workspace in Athens, while we can also arrange a viewing on the site of our production premises upon request.
