MUEVO for Model Gymnasium of Anavryta
In the context of MUEVO’s annual museographic equipment donation programme, our company donated three free-standing display cases to the Model Gymnasium of Anavryta for the development of its new school history museum in 2025.
Founded in 1949 and located within the historic Syngros Estate in Athens, the Model Gymnasium of Anavryta has built a distinguished educational legacy and remains one of Greece’s leading public schools to date.
On 7 March 2026, the school inaugurated its small Museum of History, an exhibition dedicated to preserving the memories and traditions of its educational community.
Forming a unified exhibition display, the showcases present three different aspects of student life at Anavryta (namely school excursions, sports and everyday school life) through a museographic approach inspired by the aesthetic of trophy cases in the 1980s.
Since 2022, MUEVO has maintained an annual museum equipment donation programme, through which we offer exhibition showcases and other museographic elements to cultural and educational institutions whenever suitable samples or prototypes become available. What began as a spontaneous initiative a few years ago has gradually evolved into an annual commitment for our company.
Our 2024 donation supported the Agricultural Library of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences with a conservation-grade showcase for the presentation of a rare historical volume: a 1641 edition of Excerpta Varia by Greek scholar Leo Allatius, now displayed under appropriate climate conditions within the historic Andreas Syngros Tower.
In 2023, MUEVO supported the creation of Perachora’s Folk Art Museum, while in 2022, our company provided museum display cases for an exhibition at the Academy of Athens.
Looking ahead, the Anavryta Museum was not the only institution to benefit from the 2025 donation programme. Watch our space for more details about another exciting initiative.
