Description

The Canadian National Vimy Memorial is a spectacular site dedicated to the Canadian soldiers sacrificed in World War I in Northern France, near the border with Belgium.

On this occasion, MUEVO undertook the exterior and interior museum constructions of the Visitor Training Center, which offers a contemporary story-telling of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

More specifically, MUEVO built the display cases and special equipment for the center’s historical exhibits, and also implemented the wall’s fit-out, aiming to highlight the contribution of the Canadian military forces to the evolution of the war.

MUEVO’s research into the use and combination of new materials reduced the cost of the final structure, achieving, at the same time, the desired aesthetic result. Mirror glass was placed on the display cases and metal panels were placed on the walls, made by lighter and safer materials. Our team went through dozens of processing combinations of different metallic elements, to identify the ones that show the highest resistance to wear, while sticking with the metal’s natural color.
